This is my new phone.
N97 in white.
Been hesitating for almost a month since its release…
Almost all of my older phones (including the iPhone) took turns to hang on me… for the last 3 months.
I wondered how I survived without a proper phone and resist buying one for so long.
I have also been holding back in buying a new expensive phone because Dp commented that most mobiles phones are overpriced and shouldn’t cost more than 3000rmb.
It sounded weird coming from someone who is currently using the 8800 Arte his dad gave him.
But it did have an effect on me, I felt guilty.
So… Not… Me!!!
Or is the approaching motherhood changing me?
If so, Dp should be very happy!!!
He too offer to use the older phones and give me his expensive phone but that phone is kinda like a brick…
functionless!
I decided that I have been considering it long enough. I need to get it out of my system!
Besides I can’t imagine my phone dying on me when I am calling DP while having contractions!
Took the plunge last Friday and the phone came to me very quickly from Hong Kong, on Monday.
I got it without seeing the real set.
I first read about this phone since I came across it in May.
While reading, I thought there’s nothing special about it Really… until I scroll down and saw it in White!!!
I don’t know… what is it with me and white phones!
Years ago, I got myself a new black SE phone but promptly gave it to Dp when I saw something similar but in white!
THEN, I pass my used items to Dp…
Its funny how it sounds now coz I have been using Dp’s used mobile phone for the past 2 years.
His iPhone and his N95.
The last time I got myself a new mobile phone was in June ’07.
I have also considered getting the new iPhone 3GS…
I loved my 1st gen iPhone and wouldn’t trade it for anything if it didn’t hang on me just when I about to pick up calls or reply to messages.
I guess it should be cool and running again… if I bothered to read and browse the very useful Chinese forum to jailbreak and update the software!
However, at this stage of the pregnancy, it the last thing on my mind!
That’s my problem with using iPhone in China.
Thus no iPhone 3GS for now. There’s always a new iPhone every year anyway! :-p
As for this N97…
It took me awhile to get use to the tiny keypad… and the some times unresponsive interface.
May need to upgrade software!

Switching from mac stuff can never be a good idea, you’ll regret it! LOL. I’ll tell u how great the iphone 3GS is when i get it, real soon i hope- the Husband has said it’ll be his gift to me for bearing no.2, it sounds creepy i know, haha.
one more month to go for you. one of the benefits of popping already is that i can go around and tell mothers-to-be either that “its a piece of cake” or “oh my goodness its a nightmare you won’t believe!” either way it gets them real stressed.
You’ll do fine though!

I think using iPhone 3GS in Singapore shouldn’t be a problem since its supported by the telcos. Hope u get yours soon…
