when i ain’t working

in Her Life

According to Ashley, I am one big fat bum.
I eat, sleeps, shops and excercise occassionally…

Think life is so much more exciting, when I am not working.

Sometimes I am glad that I have got a job, and spend my own pathetic pay guiltfree, I spend resonably and still get to save a little.

Sometimes I am glad that I have got a job, and something to do, in the day and a decent desk and PC to blog.

Sometimes I am glad, coz I get to know more Chinese, meet more people from different walks of life, and know about the soceity and people.

But most of the time, I wish I ain’t working...

I woke up for a 3.6km jog, couldn’t continue coz the sun was burning at 9.30a.m.
I was out and shop around for the entire day. Was out with Mum, Sis and Gwen.
I felt as if my legs gonna give way.

And my shoulder hurts!
Its now confirmed that it isn’t my deskbound job.

Came home and color my daddy’s and mommy’s grey hair.
Think they have been waiting for me since I left last Feb.
They trust me and my skills… better than… *ahem*cough*ashley*cough*…

So here I am blogging, after watching 2 episode of Jewel of the Palace…

trying to figure what happened during the 40 episodes I didn’t watch.

And well, I still couldn’t be bothered to blog about my HK trip.
hahaha!!!

I am such a bummer. And I love myself for it.

I am too tired for anything… Really…

*yawnz*

I ought to be updating about my trip to Hong Kong…

I ought to be shopping and checking out Orchard Road…

I ought to be planning, when to catch up with pals.

I ought to be jogging in the morning, on an empty stomach for optimised effect.

I ought to wake up early for my favourite bee hoon breakfast.

Instead,

I woke up at lunch, only in time for my favourite lunch, duck rice.
i luv bumming!

I spent the entire day, either watching TV, surfing the net, and catching up on blogs that I couldn’t access to in China.
i luv bumming!

I read lotsa of magazine.
i luv bumming!

I pratically lazed around the whole day, trying to STAY AWAKE.
i luv bumming!

And I had a little nap after dinner…
i luv bumming!

*yawnz*

For the last 2 weeks or so, I have been on the move too much.
I was too bothered to sleep.
The packing and the moving.
The night before my flight wasn’t any better.
I kept thinking if I have missed anything…

Tomorrow would be a busy day.

*yawnz*

I should be up for a morning job.
And out to do a little shopping.
Warm-up for next week, coz I think DP and I will be unstoppable next week.
We have been making mental ‘Singapore Shopping List.’

*yawnz*

I hope to update on my Hong Kong Trip real soooon.
So fun!

*yawnz*

I love staying in and bumming around.

I am so happy to be home in Singapore.

Papa, Mama, Sis and Bro turned up at the airport, despite me arriving at 11.50p.m on a Tuesday night.

We had the delicious bak kut teh at Havelock road.
Yummy! It probably a sign of “More food to eat”

I am very tired now, as I had so much girly fun in Hong Kong.
The shopping and the partying…

It good to come home.
Especially when you return to see this!

Welcome Home
Everybody, go ” Awwwwwwwww….”

Guess who did it !? No prize for the correct Answer though…

So much to say, but too tired to…

Catch up with you guys later…. i am taking it slow…

I am leaving for Hong Kong tomorrow.

View of HK
From my last trip in June ’03.

I think this trip will be a special and a good one, we are going to have local showing us around.

Though Anita spent her last eight years or so in UK, but she definietely knows how to have fun in HK.

I am very happy to say and mean every single word of “SEE YOU Tomorrow!” to Gwen over MSN today.
Somehow such words have long lost its significance.

I have been too lazy, delaying unimportant work, day after day.
I couldn’t be bothered really. Even now.

The thing about going away for long leave and holiday.
Is that you got lots of stuff to do and clear.

Will try to finish what I can, brief the new intern what she needs to cover in my absence.
And leave the office. 5 p.m. on the dot.
So that my leave starts earlier…

I too hate the week before going away,
Was busy running all over town and fearing that I might have forgotten something important.
Then there is still the packing, and light ironing.
Given that I still have a dinner with friend of DP and DN tonight, DP I may have to stay up late packing.
I am getting all flustered now.

Really need to go and finish my stuff, so that I can enjoy myself for the next two weeks.
And maybe I can start relaxing tomorrow morning, when I am on my flight at 8a.m.

More blogging actions when I am back in SG…

Family and friends, SEE YOU THEN!
PS: I really really mean it!

the best season, it is.

!

Its true when people says Autumn is the best season to visit Beijing.
The weather has been great since mid-autumn festival.

It is cooling and the humidity is at an acceptable level.
Comfortable. Very.

The skies are so clear, so blue…
It makes me want to be out all the time.
The sunray doesn’t make you melt.
And it beats being stuck (and suffocating) at work.
Will be out soon…but

Damn!
I need to pack luggage.
And it doesn’t help that I can’t find my stuff.
All thanks to DP,
my personal home mover/ packer.
So I am punishing rewarding him by helping me pack my luggage.

I am glad that I am over with the ‘house-moving’ ordeal, for now.
Another round or two would be sometime after the 7-day national holiday.

We are now comfortably nested in DN’s apartment; we have a room and are sleeping on floor with a thick layer of comforter, mattress protector and some sheets on the floor.
We both liked it.
But I wasn’t too sure if it that comfortable, or I am that tired from the ordeal.

Another day to go, and I will be out and away for 2 weeks.

Not very excited yet, but its getting there…
I am s-l-o-w… maybe it will all set in, when I am on my plane to HK.

My mid-aututmn weekend

September 21, 2005

in Her Life

I had my first mid-autumn in China.
Which coincides with the day, japane5e invaded Ch!na.
So commemorate those who lost their lives during the war, my company arranged for a trip to the ‘how chinese fought war for 8 long years’ museum on a bright, sunny and windy Saturday

Me at the muesum

It’s a historic tour for me, on a modern history.
I walked out of the museum with disgust.

After the museum we took a walk in the ancient city, against the glaring sun.
Towards a well-known bridge known as Lugouqiao.

lugouqiao lugouqiao lugouqiao

The rather long bridge is known for the many lions on the bridge, each lion on the bridge is unique, some stand solitaire, while some with many little lions clinging on to it.
There must be more than 500 of them on the long bridge. Some ancient, some reconstructed.

After the walk, we proceeded to have our mid-autumn celebration dinner in the botanical garden, the air was very fresh, and it got rather chilling after awhile.
And we had lots of wine to drink. (I miss reds….)

Dinner Outdoor

On Sunday, the actual day, our company has arranged for a paintball session.
I decided to give it a miss. as I remembered the half-a-palm sized bruise on my last paintballing session in UK. An idiot, who was supposed to be ‘dead’, shot from close range.
I too remembered it was a lot fun, as I was giggling with excitement, and got some enemy down.

It was also DN’s birthday that, so we had lunch with friends and a KTV session.
Which coincidentally, one of them happened to a Japanese. DN’s ex-roommate.
She has a funny surname, 海马, Seahorse.
A typical persistent and pleasant jap lady, I met several times, so that makes us friends.

DN Birthday KTV
(From L to R) Jie, DN, DN’s uni friend, Seahorse, and me.

My Mid-Autumn Flickr Set and clearer pix,
here.

Better stop… This is getting too long.

Lately, I hate updating my blog, because its been a drag.
It keeps me waiting forever to get it published.
Its pissing me off… so I am keeping this short. Not that its any faster.
So pardon me, if I miss a day or two entries…

I have sent an email in Chinese to my server. Fully and clearly explaining my difficulties.
He must be an idiot if he doesn’t understand.
